In this illustrated talk Judith Buchanan, co-writer of and Shakespeare advisor to the forthcoming GSP Studios film Macbeth, gives an insider perspective on the film.
Judith Buchanan is Professor of Film and Literature and Dean of the Arts and Humanities at the University of York (UK). She has written widely on Shakespeare performance history and is involved in many creative projects with industry professionals. She collaborated with the British Film Institute on bringing out two DVDs of silent Shakespeare films, is Director of Silents Now (silents-now.co.uk), bringing silent films to new public audiences, and is co-Director of the York International Shakespeare Festival.
