Publishing your first article or book can seem like a daunting prospect and, for the uninitiated, the process can see somewhat arcane and unclear. Ben Doyle, Publisher and Global Head of Literature for Palgrave Macmillan’s Scholarly division, will be speaking about the publishing experience at Palgrave, giving some hints and tips on revising a dissertation into publishable form, and also advising on putting together a formal proposal.
Ben Doyle holds a BA and an MA in Literature and Contemporary Literature respectively from Lancaster University. He joined Palgrave Macmillan in 2009 as an Editorial Assistant on the Literature and Theatre Studies lists and is now Publisher and Global Head of Literature for Palgrave Macmillan’s Scholarly division. Ben heads up a small team of six people which, between them, publish c. 200 books per year.
